The agents must decide whether to save Coulson or the world. It looks like they may be doomed to repeat the time loop, but the final result creates triumph….and tragedy. The story of SHIELD, though, continues.
Super-Talbot has let the gravitonium go to his head, and might wind up breaking the world in his effort to “fix things”. Meanwhile, a Kree thinks Daisy is now his property. It all leads to the biggest decision SHIELD has to make, and the price could be too high.
Talbot becomes a super-hero thanks to gravitonoium, but his powers quickly go to his head Meanwhile, Daisy and Elena clash over the need to save Coulson, and SHIELD heads to space for a rescue mission
SHIELD battles aliens who demand the gravitonium the agents have, and send marauders to get it. Elena tries to justify her decision to kill Ruby from last week, and finally reveals Coulson must die to break the time loop.
As for the gravitonium, some of it winds up in a surprising place.
At last, Ruby had her confrontation with Daisy. However, it convinces Ruby she should stop at nothing to become the Destroyer of Worlds. Meanwhile, Fitz and Simmons spend their honeymoon time trying to find HYDRA weapons, and May tells Coulson something unexpected.
SHIELD is lost without Coulson, even when it tries to find him. Daisy tries to use Robin the Seer while three agents use their “invincibility” to free Fitz and have him find their boss. Also, General Hale is out of uniform, and two familiar faces pop up.
This week, there’s some doubt who are the real heroes.
Season four concludes with another stunning finish involving Ivanov using LMDs to turn the world against SHIELD and Inhumans, and Aida making Fitz’s life a living Hell. However, the Ghost Rider wants to do the same to her. It ends at a very surprising place.
Aida embraces her newly human form, and thinks Fitz will embrace her, too. Learning the truth changes everything. Meanwhile, the agents get used to what has happened while they were in the Framework.
This week, Agent May is determined to escape from Radcliffe and Aida, but can she? Meanwhile, a plan by Coulson to spy on Senator Nadeer hits a big snag that dents the group’s image.
