Things are getting out of control on Gotham these days. Master manipulator Theo Galavan’s goals of becoming Mayor of Gotham and killing young Bruce have taken front seat. All other storylines, sort of, now revolve around this.
The Joker is gone, Theo Gavalan’s (James Frain) plans were revealed, and Jim (Ben McKenzie) seemed to be doing OK. This week, the pace slows and falters a bit. I want Gotham to keep up the momentum, but it seems they are losing steam.
Gotham: Rise of the Villains is now back on your television, touting a new season-long theme. It still has lots of things to work out, but Season Two starts on a good note!
This week we see several characters that are familiar to the Batman-verse. But, besides all the character introductions/tie-ins/appearances, the story this week was a fun and engaging one.
Last week, Gotham ramped up the action by finally paying off some of the long standing plot lines, but the fallout turns predictably bland.
Gotham is back and picking up steam!
This is by far the best episode of the show so far!
