The Defenders was a fine effort of mixing some classic heroes.
The Defenders are captured by the cops, and have to explain the dead bodies that were found near them. Rather than try to explain the Hand and their plans to destroy New York, they escape. Meanwhile, Elektra gets Iron Fist to use his power to reveal what’s really under the city.
In this episode, the Defenders hide Danny from the Hand, although he wants to fight. They also get a clue on how the MCF building figures in all this. However, two key characters are killed, one of them in front of the Hand.
In this episode, the gang gets one of the Hand leaders, while the others wonder if they can trust Elektra and Alexandra enough to reach their goal.
Finally, The Defenders are all together, but they’re not sure it’s a good idea.
All four Defenders are together is this episode, but they’re not interested in being a team. It’s also revealed how Elektra was resurrected by Alexandra, and how she needs the Iron Fist to beat death, too.
Now the battle begins, but the heroes aren’t sure who to fight.
All four heroes in the Netflix version of the MCU are about to get together as The Defenders. First, though, this episode shows where each of them are, and the villain they’ll have to fight to save New York City.
Marvel’s Defenders made quite a splash at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H Friday night as fans got an early look at the first episode. They also got a preview of The Punisher with Jon Bernthal.
