If something changes in the Marvel Universe, how could it affect everything? That’s the premise of a new Disney Plus series. The premiere episode features Peggy Carter becoming a super-soldier instead of Steve Rogers.
The cast of AMC’s Preacher arrived for San Diego Comic-Con, taling about the current season, how the characters have evolved and how the show got made at all. This includes audio from the event.
We got a chance to attend the Preacher press conference and speak to the cast, including Dominic Cooper (Jessie), Ruth Negga (Tulip), Joe Gilgun (Cassidy), Ian Colletti (Arseface/Eugene), Graham McTavish (Saint of Killers), and executive producer Seth Rogan.
AMC’s hit show returns with a two-night season premiere event, airing Sunday, June 25th at 10pm ET/PT. The second episode will air the next day at the show’s normal time, Monday at 9pm ET/PT.
AMC’s Preacher had a special read-through of this Sunday’s episode at San Diego Comic-Con Friday night, which featured some cast members and co-creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
While fans of Agents of SHIELD have to wait until next fall to see what Daisy and Radcliffe will do next, alumni from the show and the movies are making their mark on AMC, the network of Mad Men and The Walking Dead.
Peggy Carter is a superhero, a woman who defies the definition of the typical woman of the 1940’s and is an excellent law enforcer. She’s a great example to us all, and one great gal to hang around with.
Peggy is determined to help Dr. Wilkes, who somehow survived the zero matter explosion from last week. She gets help from Howard Stark, who proves to be a better scientist than movie producer. However, Jack Thompson is not so helpful, since he’s making some mistakes thanks to listening to the wrong guy.
The first season of Agent Carter ends with Leviathan planning to use one of Howard Stark’s weapons to kill thousands…and trick him into using it. Peggy will get some respect, and decides to move on with her life. There’s also an interesting cameo by someone whose presence is still felt today.
Agent Carter is back on duty this week, and asked by Howard Stark to recover one of his inventions from the SSR. Meanwhile, Dooley travels to Germany, Dottie shows some unusual ballet moves, and we learn about the “chicken pocket”.
